On August 18, Tailin welcomed a group of very special visitors — the families of our employees. For one day, the familiar workplace took on a new atmosphere. Laboratories, offices and shared spaces were filled with children's curiosity and laughter as employees invited their families to step into the world they work in every day. More than a company visit, the Tailin Family Open Day brought together family, science and workplace culture. It gave children a closer look at what their parents do, helped families better understand Tailin's work and values, and created meaningful memories beyond the workplace.
The day began with a warm welcome from Mr.Shen Zhilin, Vice President of Tailin Bioengineering and General Manager of Tailin Life Science.
From Tailin’s entrepreneurial beginnings and development journey to its core technologies and industry mission, the introduction gave young visitors a better understanding of the meaning behind their parents’ work.
Concepts such as life science, microbiology and laboratory technology may have seemed distant at first. But after stepping into the place where their parents work, these ideas became more tangible.
The children saw more than offices and laboratories. They saw people using science, technology and professional expertise to contribute to life and health.
For employees, it was also a special opportunity to share a side of their professional lives that their families do not normally get to see.
Science became one of the most engaging parts of the day.
Through interactive sessions designed for young learners, children explored basic biological concepts in an easy and enjoyable way. Questions such as “What do cells look like?” and “How can we protect them?” helped turn abstract scientific ideas into something they could imagine and understand.
Questions, observations and hands-on exploration soon replaced textbook-style learning.
By making science more approachable, Tailin hopes to encourage children to stay curious about the world around them and experience the excitement of asking questions, experimenting and discovering answers.
The laboratory visit gave the children an even closer look at the scientific environment behind their parents’ work.
During the visit, they were introduced to the Tailin Sterility Testing Isolator, a system designed to provide a controlled environment for aseptic operations and help minimize contamination risks.
With simple explanations and close-up observation, concepts such as microbial control, contamination prevention and aseptic processing became easier to understand.
For the young visitors, the laboratory was no longer simply a room filled with instruments. It became a place where science and technology are applied to help safeguard product quality and human health.
Beyond science and laboratory exploration, the day was also filled with activities that encouraged teamwork, creativity and family interaction.
From team challenges and performances to parent-child games and hands-on crafts, every activity created more opportunities for families to participate, communicate and enjoy the day together.
These shared experiences transformed the workplace into a relaxed and welcoming space where employees and their families could connect in a different way.
The Tailin Family Open Day brought family, science and the workplace closer together.
Through laboratory visits, science activities and shared family experiences, families gained a better understanding of Tailin’s work and culture.
