FAQ

The workstation utilizes a high-accuracy AI intelligent algorithm based on computer vision and neural network technology. It performs continuous real-time detection throughout the incubation cycle, allowing it to analyze dynamic growth and morphological changes. This “Multi-temporal Phase Alignment” and “Edge Analysis” technology enables the system to automatically segment merged colonies, identify colony outlines, and distinguish colonies from impurities or plate edges.

The workstation consists of four primary hardware modules designed for automated microbial analysis:

  • Dish Holder & Rotating Carousel: Features removable holders that allow for quick sample replacement and easy cleaning while organized on a rotating carousel for systematic processing.
  • Ultra HD Camera: A 20-megapixel CMOS camera equipped with a bidirectional light source to capture high-resolution images of colony growth.
  • Code Reader: An integrated Code Reading System that identifies samples within the unit.
  • Barcode (1D) and QR Scanner: A dedicated system that automatically reads the 1D barcodes or QR codes on petri dishes one by one to ensure accurate data tracking.

The HMI is an integrated intelligent interface designed for comprehensive sample management and real-time monitoring through four key functional areas.

  • Petri Dishes Overview & Details: Provides real-time displays of the latest sample images, CFU counts, and location information , while offering detailed views that include colony growth pictures, videos, and specific dish results.
  • Functions Interface: Serves as the central control hub for switching between different interfaces, managing motion control, accessing shortcut switches, and monitoring overall system operation status.
  • Data Analysis & Visualization: Automatically generates and displays colony growth curves to track microbial development dynamics throughout the incubation period.
  • Reporting: Provides structured test reports that consolidate petri dish information and final incubation results for documentation.

The system is designed to meet strict data management standards by incorporating three-level user access permissions, electronic signatures, and comprehensive audit trailing. To ensure the integrity of the results, the system outputs colony growth curves and saves a full video of the microbial growth process, making every result fully traceable and verifiable.
